Nice.

Although not as quiet as I'd imagine for an ambient peace at the beginning, but it was very nice. Generally, an overall good song. The thing I didn't like was the usage of Garage Band loops (even if they were green), but you customized the loops a lot so it's excused. It all sounded nice, I don't think the transitions could get any better, but then again you should look into doing crashed while doing transition, because I found they sometimes work out well.

lidlurch responds:

yeah, this is another one of my fist songs, yet better ones. i was getting used to not using the blue loops except for the drums (which i might go back to with all of these angry drummers on my back xD). i was also experimenting with the ambience noises as well. it feels incomplete, so i'll deffinetly tweak it a bit. crashes sound like the might work. i'll try it out. thanks again!! i'll be sure to review more of your songs!

It was alright.

It sounded really nice, except for some of the drum parts, a big turn off for some classical listeners is a drumset. Everything else was pretty rediculously good, and I hope you finish it.

DavidBrendel responds:

I listened to the song with out the drum set in there and it does give the classical feel to it much more respect. I'm trying to experiment giving the symphony some rock, but sometimes it doesnt always work out. Perhaps I'll submit a piece with out drums, and one with the drums if it sounds ok?

Nice.

The only real quarrel around here was how it arpeggiated up around 0:53, but the solo made it all the different. Good job, Afro man, I didn't think you made gold out of everything you touch.

Afro-Ninja responds:

thanks! I'm not so great with music theory so I had trouble transitioning up to the higher octave :/

Space Lounge

Nice, Hopeku. I'm just very suprised I'm listening to this for free. For quite a while, I've been trying to muster a space lounge, and this is just rediculous, man. I loved it all, and can't pick out one bad thing except maybe it's too short. I hope you will soon take up the profession as a digital artist, because this stuff is a bit excessive for Newgrounds.

hopeku responds:

haha thanks man!

I'm already trying to get my stuff signed so I start my career. I still need some improvement though but soon I guess I will be ok for seling :)

Very nice.

Nice riffs, man, it sounds great; the only bad spots are probably how the string ends note when it comes to quiet parts. Otherwise, a very nice song that's uptempo and nicely made. Keep it up, man.

IceMasterDlux responds:

Thanks man! You should check out my other submissions like "Wandering into the Parallel", or "Celestial Plateau" or "Lux de Luna".

Nice.

It's hard to find good house music, and this -is- good house music. Although it was a little mellow, and that might hurt the general factor of, well, dancing to it. It's very good, the solos are great, the pan is amazing, you use the key elements every house song should have, and if it were sped up, it wouldn't sound as good; it's just not ideal that you'd make a house song this slow. That is 'till four, where it becomes very trancy, although that's completely fine.

Overall, very nice song, maybe not an excellent example of the genre (although the start may be), but a worthy song to listen to.

Helth responds:

Thanks dude

Nice

Through the song I had the feeling that things were misplaced; the sweep was unexpected and the drums seemed off time, but they actually worked out quite well. Good job, man, it's a very nice song.

joshuaskillsrobles responds:

I see what you mean about the drums, i guess they just needed a little more pounds.

It was okay.

I mean, it's nice, though the drums seem like their playing with a brush. The riff seemed extremely simple, and there was no instrument solo. I think the vocals could be worked on a little more, but it was generally 'average'.

hopeku responds:

You should have given a 3 at max, haha :P

The first reason why it's here is because I couldn't delete it since it was used into an entry...But now I think it's a good exemple of what I was able to do in 2005.

Anyway, thanks for your descent 6!

Nice!

The main quarrel I have here is the length-- It seems so short. Though, what I do like is the bass beat-- I dislike it when the bass beats aren't loud enough; though they're what really 'pumps' energy into techno music. The synth and other effects are worked on quite well, and I liked to slightly soft part at 0:22 because it added in a lot of variety. Although not a problem, you may want to find a third bass beat. I see you have one that does doubles, and one that does a single (before the snare) but perhaps you can try doing a double that seems a bit seperate. I do look forward to more, perhaps an improved version.

hopeku responds:

Hey thanks man. I will probably not submit and improved version of it, but I sure will make more drum'n'bass!

Irritating, wrong catagory

It's irritating, kind of like you're hitting random notes in garage band, or whatever your using. Submitting it into Newgrounds seems like a bad idea, and submitting it into the Jazz portal is just intentionally pissing those who want to find reasonable jazz off. Of course, that's what you aim for, because apparently you have nothing else to do on your time.

If you're serious, check more traditional jazz and use no synth instruments.

Paradox-Guardian responds:

well you win some you kill some
