Nice.

Although there wasn't any sweeps like a traditional trance song. I liked the bass (drum) and how it moved, and the vibraphone(?), although the clapping was a bit soft. I think it needs some more polishing, though, a little more flavor instead of just preping the listener for a faster double bass part. It also felt a little bit too short.

It was okay.

I liked the general composition of all the parts. The snare that wasn't dishing sixteenth notes should be used on the second beat for the first few times before you bring in the more powerful snare, or atleast I think that would work well. But basically, the instruments sounded like crap, but they're supposed to, I'm assuming. I liked it, but it wasn't something that really grabbed my attention. Good job, though, and keep it up, man.

It seems like you might be good at dubstep, maybe you should give it a try.

DJ-TomE responds:

sorry if im stupid but i dont know what dubstep is so il search it and thanks. i use a much older version of garage band and for some reason wont get the new one so the instruments will stay crappy and thanks about the snare i understand. but the one with out straight notes is way more powerful if u hear it alone so thanks anyway

Huh. . .

Though the quality might not be the best, the general composing was good. It didn't have the original starting, but it was alright. I think it was a lot better with real drums and bass this time, it just needs to be professionally recorded.

I can't wait for vocals, but I don't think you'd have room to fit them in.

So I guess you managed to not touch the guys drum set, assuming everything musical you touches golden. I mean, a golden drum set is nice, but the drum heads would sound horrible, I'm assuming it'd sound like a steel drum.

That's my conclusion of why a real drum set is so rare for a MetalJonus song.

Metaljonus responds:

ya none of this song was mixed at all! it was all rough buddy...

It was alright.

Composing wise, it was good, but quality wise, it wasn't good. I would suggest getting a better recorder, or putting your trumpet on a digital recorder, and then using a program like FL studio to create the drums and bass, unless the bass was real.

I think you spelt Chaos wrong.

It was good, generally. I think it could be spruced up with a few crashes at certain points. It was a little short, but it could be made into a loopish song if you warp the remainder (assuming you're using FL studio).

SimSouleroid responds:

Haha man i can't spell for anything I saw that the toher way around, dislexia ya know? ha

Yeah thanks for the comment man!
I was thinking of more making it into a loop given that there really only is one main melody sort of thing.
So in that case it wouldnt be that repetitive. i agree, spruced up, but no i dont no what you mean by warp because I don't use FL studio but I no that the majority of people on newgrounds do.

Thanks for the review man!

It was alright.

It wasn't necessarily bad, just some synths sounded really bad for the occassion. The bass was perfect, but I think you should look for better instruments to take their place. The "Oh" voices might've sounded better if they played at different pitches, too.

Keep it up!

lidlurch responds:

lol are you kidding me? i love the bass! haha, i should change it up a bit though, it gets sort of repetative eh? you really think so? hmm...well, i'll make another version to see how it sounds. what oh voices? are you talking about the smooth vox that comes in every once in a while? anyways, thanks for the review ;)

Maybe a little quiet

It was a nice peice, but I had to crank up my volume because it felt like it was supposed to be more of a fast song rather then a very slow one. This is a nice peice, but it seems to lack solos, unless I'm missing something and didn't hear it.

Good job, homie.

lidlurch responds:

lacking solos...and people seem to want it to be faster haha! i suppose if you wanted to dance to it it would sound better faster...i'll experiment with that, and i love playing solos, plus that would take away from the repetativeness....thank you so much! i know exactly what to do with this song!

thanks :)

Nice.

It sounds nice, peaceful, and I like how the marimba broke away from the flute, too. The panning on the drums were boggling my mind though, it wasn't exactly bad, though.

I'm with Le-Guardia here.

I think you put it all together well, but I just heard those loops five billion times already from my other mac; the more original stuff I enjoyed more, and of course you put the blue loops in the right place, so they all sounded good, and I not every person can do that easily. I would work on some of the transitions as well.

Good job, though.

lidlurch responds:

lol so true so true xD it was my first song that i ever made, with the help of my friend down below here (Le-Guardia) so it's really noobish, but it's always been one of my favorites when it comes to my first songs. yup, i'll make sure i do that. thanks!

Eh. . .

It was okay, but I didn't like how the snare acted at all. The general percussion area was just 'okay' except for the clave part and the 1:56 through, those parts were pretty good. Other then that, everything worked out great with eachother, and it all sounded pretty good.

lidlurch responds:

it's nothing special really, which is why i plan on somehow beefing this song up...i'm not sure how i'll do it, but i'll make sure i do. the annoying snare is probably the phaser...it's weird, it switches right left right left on the speakers really quickly :P kool...hmm, do you think this would work out better as a video game song? email me back if you can
